The Turning-the-Tables™ Program is modified to suit the needs of each
client. Each program, however, is usually some variation of the basic
ten steps that follow. After completing a comprehensive diet questionnaire,
here are the results you can anticipate from each step.
Step 1
Drink to Your Health
Water is the origin and the sustenance of all life. Making sure it's
pure and nourishing is your top priority. You'll learn how to evaluate
your drinking water and make an informed decision about which water
is best. You'll also get rid of the useless liquids that permeate our
lives and take the "tea test" to see what will be a hit in
your household.
Step 2
Eat Only Real Food, Eliminate Frankenfoods
You'll understand the difference between real food and Frankenfoods
and be ready to make a commitment to embrace the first while leaving
the second in the dust. You'll also experience the bast distinction
in nutritional value and toxic load between organic and non-organic
produce.
Step 3
Make Friends with Fat
You'll know the difference between saturated, unsaturated and monosaturated
fats. You'll choose the correct ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6 fats in
your diet, eliminate trans fats, and know which fats are best for which
purposes.
Step 4
Power Up with the Right Protein
You'll learn the pros and cons of different kinds of proteins, how
to find perfect protein sources that are plant-based, and/or choose
to eat meat that has been raised as nature intended.
Step 5
Embrace Fabulous Foods
You'll get busy buying or preparing on your own some of nature's best
kept secrets such as sea veggies, noni juice, home made fermented cabbage,
rice bran, nutritional yeast and flax seeds. You'll decide on those
you like -- we'll make sure you know how and where to get them and make
them taste delicious!
Step 6
Bring on the Herbs and Spices
You'll get intimate with your spice rack, understanding which spices
help digestion, which lower cholesterol, which can shorten a cold's
duration and which are just plain useless.
Step 7
Appraise What is on Your Plate
In this step you'll look at portion size, the timing of meals and various
aspects of food combining.
Step 8
Get Fit with Fiber
You'll make sure you and your family are digesting your food properly
for maximum assimilation of nutrients and elimination of toxins. We'll
even give you the "poop questionnaire" (if you ask for it!).
Step 9
Consider your Cookware and Storage
You'll discover how substances such as aluminum, iron and plastic interact
with your food and your body, and determine how to cook and store your
food safely.
Step 10
Discern What is Still Missing and Replace with Targeted Micronutrients
In this final step you'll take a look at the decisions you've made
about your diet, your lifestyle, your nutrient intake and any pharmaceutical
products you're taking to decide if and when targeted micronutrient
supplementation may be indicated.
